CoffeeShop "Modern Botanicals" Printable Digital Paper Set!

Today I wanted to share a new printable digital paper pack I call "Modern Botanicals". I love creating illustration-themed papers and I used many of the beautiful images from The Graphics Fairy premium site to create this set. Most of the images were color but I wrote a little action that quickly turns them into B&W illustrations. I will be sharing that action with you this week. 

This set of papers are 8.5 x 11 inches so they can all be printed or used on the web and they come with free commercial terms-of-use. You can see a blown-up version below of the details.

CoffeeShop "HoneyComb 7" Photo Collage Board for Photoshop/PSE!

Today I wanted to share a brand new 12 by 12 photo storyboard set for print or web! This set has 7 hexagon clipping masks, one with and one without borders. 

They are completely customizable. You can even add pretty digital papers to them!

In the storyboard below I add my Andriessen texture on top in Soft Light blending mode and a gorgeous endpaper texture from The Graphics Fairy premium site (I am a part-time instructor there) on the bottom (50% opacity). I changed the color of the endpaper by putting a Color fill layer on top of it in Color blending mode. 

You can also add a texture only to the frames or just to the photos (by grouping those layers together and clipping the texture to it).

CoffeeShop "Fall Flannels" Digital Paper Set!

I had so much fun making these fuzzy flannel fall digital papers.  Zoom in and they actually look like fabric! These come with free commercial terms-of-use, so enjoy using them anyway you want.

CoffeeShop "Pumpkin Floral" Paper Pack!

Today I am sharing a free fall-inspired paper pack featuring pumpkins and flowers. I really love this set, I think it is so pretty. 

I made these papers with two images from my favorite vintage design site, The Graphics Fairy. I applied a dry brush filter on the pattern I made so it has a painterly effect.

CoffeeShop "Distressed Vintage" Fine Art Texture Set

Sorry I have been gone for a bit, it has been crazy here!

We are having a "forced" renovation due to a leak downstairs (in late October), so most of the downstairs including the kitchen and powder room are torn up/out. It has taken so long due to issues with a  previous contractor and insurance, but now we have a great contractor and everything is going much faster. I am optimistic it might be finished in 4-6 weeks and then I will post images.

I also have been busy working at The Graphics Fairy premium site, trying to catch up. I am a part-time tutorial writer/image editor there and I also help out with odds and ends and I LOVE it! Emily and Karen are so incredibly nice to work for and I absolutely love everything on their site. Please check them out if you want an amazing resource of gorgeous vintage images, editing tutorials, and handcraft tutorials.  They also have very generous terms of use if you are a designer. 

The boys are also at home being homeschooled, but they are at an age where they are very independent, so I don't have to spend that much time activity teaching them. I just give them their assignments and pop down occasionally to make sure they aren't distracted and playing with their pet rats or staring into space.

Today I wanted to post some vintage distressed textures I made a few weeks ago. These are so gorgeous and can be used to enhance your own images or even digital designs. I wrote an texture action that I will release soon, but if you do it by hand I like using these textures in Soft Light, Overlay, or Multiply blending modes. They are really so pretty.

CoffeeShop "Gold Vintage Christmas" Digital Paper Set!

Time is flying and I had a few more Christmas designs I wanted to post before it is too late. I made a new gold vintage-inspired Christmas paper set to share with you today. These papers are high resolution and have beautiful gold embellishments and would be perfect for your Christmas designs/scrapbooking needs.

There are holly, red flowers, and Madonna and Child-themed papers. I used this gorgeous Graphic Fairy design for several of the papers since I know it can be difficult to find religious-themed Christmas papers out there. Believe me, I have looked! Hobby Lobby is all about Santa and snow men. Oh wait, snow people?

CoffeeShop "Christmas Gold Glitter" Vintage Paper and Frame Set!

Oh my gosh, I had the best time designing this new Christmas paper set! These vintage papers are gorgeous, and have beautiful gold/gold glitter on them. I posted a few examples below. I also included a stunning gold vintage frame, with and without a clipping mask. You can download the set toward the bottom of this post.

I will put together a little tutorial on how I made this paper below and post it in a day or two.

These are 10x10 high resolution digital scrapbooking papers and can be printed or used in your own designs. The gold frame would be so pretty used on a Christmas card. They come with free commercial TOU, so use them any way you want! I just ask that you don't repackage them and sell them "as-is" since I want to keep them free.

To design this set I used my own gold glitter pattern, some public domain design elements from The Met Collection, and a beautiful angel from The Graphics Fairy.

CoffeeShop "Spring Flower Fling" Digital Paper Set!

How are you doing today? We are doing well, just staying busy and trying to finish up school for the semester. I think we will be doing some over the summer, we just haven't been as dedicated as we should have been these last few months. The weather has been pretty but quite hot already with heat indexes in the 90's.

I just can't wait until we can go to the beach, we missed our traditional spring trip this year. Maybe next month? The boys and I haven't even been flying for months. Paul just got checked out on a 6-seater Piper, so we can rent it and actually take a trip with my mom and dad once things settle down! I am really excited since I have never flown with them in a small plane. The four seats in back face each other, so it feels really fancy compared to a 4-seater Piper. But still, no bathroom. ;-)

Today I wanted to share a new digital paper set I made using designs from The Graphics Fairy premium site. I made a pattern and applied several painterly effects and then added a texture. I love how pretty these papers turned out!

CoffeeShop "Sweet Rose" Digital Design Scrapbooking Set!

I had some time to design a pretty new vintage rose-inspired scrapbooking set for you! This was timely since this set is perfect for Valentine's Day. 

We usually don't do much on Valentine's Day, but this year I plan on having a steak candlelight dinner and making this gorgeous Blackberry Cheesecake. The kids are invited but they must be on their best behavior. They are growing up fast so I might as well cherish these last few years where they are content to spend Valentine's Day with their parents. Content? Actually they are thrilled because they love cheesecake and steaks. Like my dog Piper, they are very food-motivated. And Paul is fine with having the kids around for Valentine's Day since we usually have our date night dinner a few days before or after that holiday to miss the crowds.

CoffeeShop "Vintage Paper" Set!

Hey everyone! My 10-year-old nephew has been visiting so I have had my hands full, in a good way. The boys have all been playing with each other so well. Also, Duke now has braces!!! I have so much to blog about, I will post again soon. I hope everyone is enjoying their summer!

Today I have a new pack of beautiful vintage-style papers to share with you. These are high-resolution, 8.5 by 11, and can be used in digital or printed designs. These would look amazing as scrapbooking pages, or even print them out and use them as gift wrap! I am always looking for paper to wrap my handmade soaps.

CoffeeShop "Pretty Roses" Square Storyboard Set!

Today it is sunny and slightly warmer, so as far as I am concerned it is spring! Thus inspired, I decided to design a new floral storyboard set. This set is 10x10 and can be printed or posted on the web on blogs/websites/social media.

Add images using clipping masks and easily change the color of the roses/leaves using the installed Solid Color adjustment layers. I have a little tutorial below how to customize them.

The roses design on these storyboards was modified from a beautiful vintage rose lace design at The Graphics Fairy. Please check out their site, it is such a resource for vintage designs with great terms-of-use. I am also a part-time instructor over there. The pretty images used in the storyboard on this post are from Jill Wellington (Etsy Shop, Facebook, Blog, YouTube Videos, Pixabay).

Customizing CoffeeShop "Pretty Roses" Storyboards:

Add your image to the clipping mask. In this case the roses are too big, so I will make them smaller.

Select the Top Roses layer along with its two Solid Fill layers for Leaves and Rose color. 

Cntr(Cmd)-T to Free Transform them to the size you want, then move them to position.

Then change the  roses and leaves color to match your image by double-clicking on the Solid Color fill layers.

CoffeeShop "Japanese Florals" Digital Paper Pack!

I designed this new paper pack today using some beautiful Japanese watercolor images from The Graphics Fairy. Please check out their site, they have such beautiful vintage digital designs with great commercial TOU and I part-time instruct there.

I created this pattern then applied an oil painting effect to soften  it, and then added the background color and the gray texture from my  Rosalind pack in Soft Light blending mode. The black paper doesn't have the texture applied, but it looks so gorgeous without it.

CoffeeShop "Azalea" Digital Paper Pack and Photoshop Pattern!

I hope you are having a good week so far. The weather has been gorgeous and we have been spending as much time outside as possible, but I made time to put together a new spring-inspired digital paper pack called "Azalea". This one comes with eight 12x12 high-resolution digital papers and the Photoshop/PSE pattern I designed to make them.

These papers and pattern can be used anyway you want, personally or commercially. Use the included pattern to create your own azalea papers. I will post a tutorial on tricks and tips on how I use them this week. These papers would look amazing on storyboards, greeting cards, custom paper boxes, website backgrounds, Facebook covers, etc. Have fun with them!

CoffeeShop "Cherry Blossom" Digital Paper Pack and Photoshop Pattern!

I love this time of year! It isn't hot yet, everything is freshly green, and flowers are blooming everywhere.

Because I am in a Spring mood, I put together this gorgeous Cherry Blossom paper set to share with you today. It contains eight 12x12 high resolution custom digital papers and the Photoshop/PSE  pattern I created to make them

People usually just apply a pattern one time, but there is a little design trick you can use with this type of pattern. Run it a few times on top of your background at different sizes and you can fill the page with gorgeous blooms! I did this with a few of the papers included in this pack.
