What else can I say that everyone else hasn't said or heard. The world is usually "This is Us" but my brain wants to play "Walking Dead" non-stop right now. BTW, as a Walking Dead fan who has not been enamored with the last few years, Sunday's show was actually pretty good.
We are all fine here. Since I homeschool and work at home our days seem pretty normal. Paul is working in his clinic because he has a lot of medical patients come in, but he is taking every precaution. I make him strip off his scrubs before coming in the house, which has provided some entertainment because he is so darn fine 😍 and also made me realize I need to stop washing his white underwear with the colors.
We have all of our basic necessities and each other, our parents are safe in their homes, and we just take it day by day.
I vacillate between calm earth-mother and complete freak-out mode, and I am re-reading my pile of anxiety books along with praying, meditation, walks, chocolate, breathing exercises, etc.
The kids aren't stressing it at all, it is just their new normal. In fact, they are enjoying the extra video game and movie time. I love how they handle life, it is so healthy. Worrying is such a waste of good brain time.
Thank goodness for streaming video and Kindle books because our library is closed. Thank goodness for grocery stores that are stocking up food, thank goodness for electricity and running water, thank goodness for internet access! Thank goodness for online ordering. Thank goodness for kind loved ones and neighbors. Thank goodness for medical providers, scientists, the military, parents, and other wonderful hard-working people keeping our country running during these scary times. Thank goodness for wine and gin martinis with a twist of lime. Thank goodness for coffee. Thank goodness for everything that is good in this amazing world we live in.
Everyone stay safe, we will get through this. We are tough and resilient! The hours and days are slow but the weeks and months are fast.
Today I wanted to share a touch of spring in this fine arts texture set. They look so pretty on spring images and can even be used as papers. I love this little yellow bird (original).
I have some time on my hands lately so I will work hard on creating new contact for this blog. I have a list of things I need to get up here! And feel free to add to my list if there is anything specific you want me to make.
