CoffeeShop "Bridgerton Blue" Fine Art Photoshop/PSE Action!

A while back I saw this ad for a show called "Bridgerton" pop up on-line. It is interesting how many times the images in annoying ads inspire me to create something new for this blog.

I saw that tiny image of the tree with the cyan-colored sky and loved the edit, so I took a screenshot of the image and it hid out in plain sight on my desktop for months. Yesterday I was cleaning up old images and found it and decided to finally write an action inspired by it. So today I am posting my newest free Photoshop/PSE action called "Bridgerton Blue"

This action is best applied on images that have a blue sky. It changes the boring blue to a dreamy cyan and includes a layer that you can turn on to create very lush fantasy greens. The action will also apply an optional lens flare, and every layer is fully adjustable. You can use it as subtly or dramatically as you wish!

You can download this free action toward the bottom of this post. Check out all of the hundreds of free actions I have posted in this site, or download them in one click (along with hundreds of other professional photography and designer goodies) and support my blog!

CoffeeShop "Bridgerton Blue" Action Tutorial:

1. Start the action and when the Lens Flare box pops up,  add your favorite flare and adjust the Brightness to taste. I really like using the 105mm Prime flare with this action.

2. I always blur the flare so it doesn't took as fake. Adjust the blur to taste.

3. Adjust the Levels. You can make changes to this layer once the action is finished, so don't worry too much about getting it perfect in this step.

4. This is the image after the action is finished. Adjust the Bridgerton Blue layer's opacity.

5. If you have greens in your image turn on the Lush Greens layer and adjust its opacity.

6. I added an optional Vintage Warmth layer on top, turn this on and adjust the opacity if you want to add a warm tint to your image.

7. If you don't want any lens flare just turn off the Add Light layer.

I hope you love this action as much as I do! I would love to see your own before/after edits on my Facebook page.
