CoffeeShop "Aquamarine Dreams" Photoshop/PSE Action!

I wanted to write a new action that had a lovely blue-ivory tint, and I am so pleased with this version I call "Aquamarine Dreams".

You can use it on so many images, indoor and out. I usually paint part of the effect off skin (as seen in the tutorial below), but if you run it on anything other than portraits you usually don't have to make many (if any) adjustments. This action looks really gorgeous on snow and field images.

Images used in this post: (Deer, Bride, Bee, Woman in Forest, Christmas Table).

CoffeeShop "Aquamarine Dreams" Photoshop/PSE Action Tutorial:

Run "Aquamarine Dreams" and adjust the Levels contrast pop-up to taste. You can also adjust this after the action finishes running.

In this example I made minor adjustments to slightly lower the contrast/add more haze.

This is the image after the action finishes running. I want to remove some of the cool tint from her skin. I usually turn off the "Aquamarine Dreams" and "Aquamarine Luxe" layers separately to see which one affects the skin the most and then paint on the layer mask or adjust opacity.

In this case I decided to paint off the "Aquamarine Dreams" layer from her face and arms using a soft 100% opacity black brush on the layer mask. To see where you are painting in red, click on the "\" key. Do the same to turn it off.

I also raised the opacity of the "Aquamarine Dreams" layer to 40%. Now her skin looks great and the rest of the image is a gorgeous cool tint.

Feel free to adjust the other layers to taste.

I would love to see your own edits on my Facebook page!
