One of the reasons I started this blog back in 2009 was because I loved the art of photography and photo-editing. You start with a decent photo and then you can use Photoshop to create magic.
I know you are like me these days and probably don't pull out your "real" camera as much as you used to do even just a few years ago. We all are shooting more with little camera phones and there are apps galore for editing. It is fast and easy and we get predictable results. Just like everyone else...
But no phone app I have seen compares to editing with Photoshop or Photoshop Elements. If you want to create real high-resolution custom art get on your computer!!! If you are new to editing you can pick up (affiliate link) Photoshop Elements for cheap. It allows you to use my actions and textures to create gorgeous art for a fraction of the price of full Photoshop users.

So with this in mind, I am going to get back to my roots and start writing more editing tutorials and offering more professional artistic editing tools like textures/actions/presets. Today I made a new set of Fine Art textures. This set includes four beautiful textures that I usually use in Soft Light, Overlay, Screen, or Multiple blending modes.
I walk you through the edit of the dog below in this post. :-)

Thanks, Rita... love these!
ReplyDeleteOoh awesome. Another set of fab textures. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your tutorials...now if only I had the time to actually play around with them!!!
ReplyDeleteAs a side note, Affinity also has some great software programs that are comparable in price to Photoshop Elements. One is an alternative to Photoshop and the other an alternative to Illustrator. While I've purchased both, I've yet to find the time to use them...sigh...it always comes down to time, doesn't it!
Anyway, thanks for the textures and have a great weekend ahead!
Lisa
Thank you Lisa! I haven't checked those editing program out, but thanks for mentioning them. I am a die-hard Photoshop/PSE user because of actions. They save me so much time. And like you, I never have enough time!!!
