Why I Don't Post my Kids' Art on Facebook.

My little sister has very creative, artistic kids and she posts their art on Facebook.  Then she texts the photos directly to me.  I look at these photos and they annoy the heck out of me.  Once I even texted her back a far off photo of my dog running away from me and labeled it "Rita's Photography Class Art Project".  Unfortunately I accidentally also sent it to my other sister and she sent me a big "What???".  I guess she doesn't want to see a photo of my dog's bum…

So you might wander why these lovely photos of my niece and nephew's talented art annoy me.  It might be because I would be embarrassed to post much of the "art" my kids produce.

Sometimes they do pretty well.

I like this castle.  Not much perspective, but so much detail.  I am not embarrassed to show this to the world.  Good job Imp!  We can show this one to Granny.

But then we have Duke's "art" from yesterday.

Stare at it a bit and see if you can figure out what it is….

Figured it out yet?

…………

OK, it is titled "Poop in the  Toilet".  The detail work is quite amazing, and he even pointed out that the toilet paper is wet, thus it is transparent.  I did question the amount of poop, but he felt it was quite realistic.

Yep, this is why I don't post my kids' art on Facebook.  And I apologize for posting it here and potentially making you sick.

Perhaps this sick humor is genetic (note above where I mentioned I sent a photo of my dog's bum to my sisters).  My poor husband, he is surrounded by sick, twisted people...

  4. Your story gave me a smile. I'm with potatoejam...I thought it was an ornament or a pumpkin. Sounds like something my grandson would draw. Imps is nice too. :)

  7. haha, that's so classic though, it made me laugh. I can't blame you for not posting on Facebook though! I thought it was an ornament, at first, but yes that is quite the attention to detail with the translucent wet paper!
