CoffeeShop Cloud Textures!
UPDATE! I posted a cloud tutorial to show you how to add these clouds to your images.
I love clouds, especially if they are fluffy and dramatic. I wanted to put together some cloud images/textures to share with you, but I really didn't have many beautiful ones. So I asked my Facebook fans if they had any high resolution cloud images they would like to donate to my blog for my readers. And I got an incredibly positive response of many stunning cloud images!
This is just the first set I plan on releasing. None of these beautiful images are my work, and I want to thank the many photographers out there that emailed me your beautiful cloud images. I will be posting more of them soon. The cloud images generously donated in this set are from
Alison DePollo, Christy Peterson Photography, Jana Roller Photography (Blog, Facebook), and Kaleigh Karin Photography (Facebook). If you download and use any of their cloud textures, consider going to their website or Facebook page to personally thank them.
These textures are high resolution and I did some minor cloning, contrast adjustment, and noise reduction on some of them in LightRoom 4. These cloud textures can be used in so many ways, but I personally love to use them to add skies to images where the sky is either blown-out or have no depth. I did a quick edit on the image below (my sister Heather) using one of the cloud textures.
If you are interested in a tutorial on adding clouds to blown-out skies, just leave a comment below. NOTE: Tutorial here! I hope you enjoy using these cloud images, and I would love to see your before/afters on the CoffeeShop Facebook page!
