I ♥ Free Fonts!
I am always excited to find new free fonts. I won't download a font unless it is free for commercial use, so I have a few favorite places I go "font-hunting".
My two favorite sources of free amazing fonts are
Kevin and Amanda and Font Squirrel. Debi of Southern Stumble posted a desktop background with the coolest font on my Facebook CoffeeShop Page. It is called Learning Curve and I ♥ it! You can download Learning Curve here. Dafont also has some great free fonts, but you have to be really careful to read the TOU and make sure you can use them commercially. Misprinted Type has some nice grungy freeware fonts.
After you download your new font, extract the files and then right click on the font and then click on Install. The font will be available in all of your programs, including Word and Photoshop.
Do you have a favorite place to download free fonts you can use commercially? Please link them in the comments!
BTW, recently I started putting ♥'s everywhere because Amanda of EveryDay Elements told me the keyboard shortcut. Just click and hold Alt and then hit your 3 on your number pad on the right of your keyboard.

ReplyDeleteThanks for the love Rita! I've been using it on my blog for quite sometime. I love it!
ReplyDeleteI just found Kevin and Amandas site the other day and am in LOVE ♥ and the keyboard short cut for the heart on a laptop is:
ReplyDeletefn alt 3
I usually use Urban Fonts...they have some fun ones!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info, I always wondered how people were able to add hearts!
ReplyDeleteI get the heart on my laptop by pressing the shift key, < and then 3. This works on facebook. I don't know if it works anywhere else.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to check and see.
Thanks for the great tips. I really like the featured font and look forward to using it myself!
