CoffeeShop ColorBar Color Palette Templates!

Here is my newest freebie, the CoffeeShop ColorBar custom color palette templates! This set includes both a vertical and horizontal storyboard with a clipping mask for adding an image, and six clipping masks with color fill adjustment layers for selecting colors in the image to make a custom color palette. The templates are web-sized, but you can enlarge them for printing (before adding your image).

I had so much fun creating these templates. I am the first to admit I have trouble picking colors for my designs, but these templates allow me to pick complimentary colors from any image. These color palettes can be used "as is" for posting on your blog, or for color inspiration for any type of design; such as storyboard, cards, web, interior, etc.

You will need Photoshop or Photoshop Elements to use these templates. Open the template and your image and drag the image on top of the template above the top layer (Image clipping mask) and group it. You can use my free Group-It action if you want. Then Ctrl-T the image to fit behind the cutout.

Once the image is in place, simply click on one of the color fill adjustment layer boxes (I clicked on 6 in this tutorial) and click on your image with the eyedropper to grab a color (dark brown in this sample). I can't believe Maple was once so small, she is almost 55 pounds now!

Continue doing this until all six color bars are filled. Now you have a work of art or a nice color palette to use in your designs!  I must warn you, this can become an addiction.  ;-)
