I would love to see a tutorial on bridal posing and how to get brides who don't like photos to be comfortable in front of the camera and a natural beauty black and white action :)... love your work!
How cool! I would love to win this! Lets see... a future workshop I would like to see is more intermediate level photoshop work with portraits. What cool stuff can we do! My email is melissabeachphotography at yahoo.com
Maybe I should wait to comment on this since the random picker will for sure not pick #1 comment but I would love to get more info on photographing newborns. I think it is such a sweet and special time to photograph. I would also like to see a tutorial on photographing big groups like for family reunions and how to get the faces to really stand out in a group of 20 or more. cassi@byu.edu
Oh that sounds like a perfect workshop. For the future I'd love to see advice on editing group shots - when there are four or more people in the photo noone is really big enough to spend hours making their eyes pop and skin perfect.
As an extremely new, but VERY enthusiastic "photographer" of mostly my children, I would love some tutorials on achieving natural posed images of children and the processing of them to look amazing. Thanks! mills_lj@hotmail.co.uk
What a wonderful giveaway. A couple of my boys have quite olive skin tones and I find photographing and editing them sometimes difficult as opposed to the two fairer skined boys, so I guess what I would like to see is a tutorial on editing this type of skin tone, giving them a brightness without lightening if that makes sense. Cheers, Sue bsfitz@supernerd.com.au
Awesome! It's funny that you've asked us to name a future tutorial we would love to see on CoffeeShop in order to win this workshop; had you asked me yesterday, I'd have said a newborn photography tutorial! My friends and family members are giving birth left and right these days and the hubby and I are childless so I have to get my baby dose through photos of other people's little ones :) If I have to pick a *different* tutorial other than newborn photography, I choose a tutorial on the top 5-10 post-processing edits most photos could use :)
Do I comment here? :) I will taking my very first photoshoot with a newborn this Saturday. I don't really have an idea how to go about doing that (although I have been taking pictures for years!). I would love to win this!
Hmm...about a future tutorial...maybe how to help clients warm up to you? I need to learn that. :)
This would be so cool! I always learn so many great new things here...things I never even thought I'd need to know! Maybe some lessons on dressing families for family portraits - what works well, what doesn't that kind of thing....amandadotkruegeratgmaildotcom
This is wonderful! I've always wanted to go to a workshop but can't because I am a sahm with 2 boys under 3yrs. I love all the tutorials on CoffeeShop and would enjoy hearing more about softening the harsh lines of the face in a closeup portrait. Thank you! karriedrake@yahoo.com
Oh my goodness what a fantastic giveaway! I am starting out with my photography business and have already photographed a few newborns and let me tell you, it was hard! I would absolutely LOVE to take this workshop. I know I would be putting it to good use.
As far as what tutorials I would like to see, it would be great to learn more about using the magic wand, the magnetic lasso tool, etc. I am never sure when to use which and what is the best way to extract someone or something from a photograph.
I'd love some help with skin tones. Right now I'm really struggling with tan lines on my seniors, and I'm having trouble creating a natural looking effect.
I absolutely LOVE this blog and Morgans too. As for a tutorial I would like to see in the future, I am not sure, as I am still pretty new to photography and photoshop. Maybe something to do with basic edits for people and animals? I love the actions but I love the "unwrapped" tutorials even more because I get to do it and learn from it ;) Thank you both for all the time and effort you put in to sharing all these tutorials! hypersky5@hotmail.com
Uh oh. I'm number 1. And probably not gonna win this baby...but I would like to possibly see a tutorial for using gimp. It is open source photoshop. I'm still learning to maneuver through it and would love to figure out how to use actions in the program.
Ooo! I would love a seat in the workshop. I'm having my 3rd baby *tomorrow* so this is really timely. I would love to see future workshops on posing - especially families. And also about making children feel comfortable in front of the camera. :)
Oh! I SO hope that I win!! Babies, even though they don't move, can be tricky and I LOVE your pictures! I would say that I would like to see taking pictures of LARGE groups OR I would like to see using textures. I think I know how to do that, but I am thinking I am doing it wrong! Email: jmlentner@jetup.net Thanks!!!
Wow, what a fabulous giveaway, I would LOVE to win this! *jumps-like-donkey-in-Shrek* Pick me, please pick me! :)
There are two subjects I would like to see a tutorial about. Firstly, more in-depth explanations on how to fix color on photos, how to read a histogram, etc. And secondly, how to take those beautiful backlit photos with a sunset behind the subject.
Thanks so much for all the tutorials, actions, etc. you've been posting, they're SO much appreciated!
oh i wanna win!!!! i am just starting out and would love to do a workshop. i have started collecting props & the other day i found a fabulous vintage suitcase. i looked at the lady & said "oh this would be perfect to put a baby in." then noticing a puzzled look on the woman's face i said "oh for photography..." thought that i might need to explain...
OMG... that is perfect timing. I will be doing my first newborn shoot in just a couple of weeks. I am a newbie to photography and PSE. Love your site.. you have taught me so much already. Thank you
So exciting! I would love to see tutorials about backlight when photographing and how to acheive the best soft, glowing look that is becoming more popular. lkhagberg@yahoo.com
What a great giveaway! Thanks for a chance to win. I think a future tutorial that I would like to see would be fun and different ways to pose family and multiple children shots.
I would love to see a tutorial on how you would edit 300 pictures in a shorter amount of time...i guess a better term would be a tutorial on workflow! Thank you. My email address is dsalinas@hsutx.edu
I'm so excited for this give away! A tutorial I would really like to see would be maternity pics: posing and editing. Posing to make the stomach look as pregnant as possible and editing so that the stomach looks smooth and beautiful but not fake. Thanks for all you do! lindseyswalters@gmail.com
This in an incredible site - you have helped me to become so much more creative with my photography! And as a new grandma I would love to win a seat in this workshop. A future workshop I would love to see is creative/candid shots for weddings. My email is cathyjo777@gmail.com.
This is SOOOO great! As a new photographer, I would like to learn the best posing styles for children and families. Thanks, thevintagecupakephotography@hotmail.com
I'd like to see a tutorial on photographing moms. Most of my friends are a bit overweight (still carrying baby fat) and while we are comfortable with our bodies, I'd like to hear about poses that would work best for us. Also editing the pics to give a mom the "boost" in her confidence (like reducing double chins).
This would be so awesome to do! I've done a couple of newborn sessions and I CAN NOT pose those babies like this and always wondered how? This would be perfect for me =)
Wow! I photograph newborns by far more than anything else and could definitely use this!
I would LOVE to learn more about posing of all kinds! That is my weak point right now. Or if you know anything about using flash- that would be awesome too.
wow I'd love to have this workshop!! I'm actually doing a newborn shoot tomorrow. It's only my 3rd one and my first one of a girl and I'm excited but nervous. I could use all the help I can get!
Oh,my!!! You guys are amazing! I absolutely love you. I visit your blog everyday and go way back to read your previous entries and tutorials. You were a big part of my "learning about photography and editing". I really hope i win this, since i never win anything!
I'd like to see a future tutorial on how to create those little heart shaped bokehs! (If that is even possible!!!) I love that dreamy look. Thanks again, you guys! :)
:-) Would love to see a tutorial about posing toddlers and babies together:-) You know, those little 3 yr olds who have newborn siblings to pose with ect:-) Cuz I have some and need new fresh ideas on how to pose them together without them looking both "propped UP':-) Thanks! Cat fortheloveofpixphotography@gmail.com or flirt_ii@hotmail.com
My cousin has requested me to shoot her newborn and I really have no clue how to go about it. The tutorial would hopefully give me some added confidence.
Also, I'd like to see a few tutorials on natural lighting. What to look for, what to avoid, and how to work with it. I also would like a tutorial on off board flash lighting for dummies. I bought a video in hopes of learning how to do it but it was way too technical. I honestly haven't been able to make it through without falling asleep. Thank you.
What a wonderful giveaway! Hmm, a tutorial... I think I'd like to see how to avoid the awful shadows we get when photographing in the sun. I love taking my camera out with us on a beautiful sunny day, but the photos of my boys always end up being full of shadows/dark eyes etc!
I want to learn all about lighting! I just can't seem to get that and the metering down. I am willing to learn anything you guys want to teach us!!! You just don't understand how much help you are to us who were totally clueless when we first got here!!!!! I'm SOOOO glad I found you guys! Theorganisedkaos@gmail.com myorganisedkaos.blogspot.com ( made after studying all of Rita's tutorials over and over and over again! ) :-D
I'd love a tut on RAW processing, I just took my first RAW pics yesterday! Scary! Ok maybe not scary but definately a little overwhelming. All I know about PSE 8 I've learned from Rita, Amanda and Morgan. Thanks ladies! Kristin kristinmbeck@hotmail.com
Ohmygosh! This would be awesome to win. I've decided to focus on newborn photography, so this workshop would be perfect! As far as tutorials go, I would really like more info on setting up a home studio (on the cheap!). Thanks so much for the chance to win! You can reach me at pobstfarm@gmail.com
Hello! This is an AWESOME giveway. I am very new to photography and would love the opportunity to learn about photographing newborns. I have a lot of friends/family expecting babies and would love to capture these type of memories for them without them having to pay for them. This is so exciting!!!
That workshop sounds AMAZING!! I'm a very new photographer and have always wondered how people get such amazing poses and pictures of newborns! There's actually a HUGE baby boom in my playgroup right now, I'd love to be able to get great pics for all of our new moms!!! I'm new to your site but already in love! I'm also new to photoshop so really ANY tutorials will help me at this point! LoL Thank you so much for all the amazing things you offer!
Wow, what an awesome giveaway! And a great idea for a workshop. I have always wondered how people get those shots. Of course, I had a baby that would wake as soon as you touched her so that was part of the mystery!!

Wow, something I really want to get into. This is perfect. Future tutorial on how to occupy Mom while you shoot would be awesome. Guess that's not so much a tutorial as an idea generator. Still, I need it! Email is muddyfeetphoto@yahoo.com.
OH MY! I would love to win this! I would absolutely love to see more posing tutorials on families and kids. I have a 2.5 year old and a 7 year old, and sometimes posing them is a pain. Then trying to come up with cute poses for clients wide range of ages...ha! Yes please more posing tutorials!
I think what I'd like to see is how to make the most of a not so sunny day. Natural light is ideal and only the best fastest nicest lenses cooperate in most conditions but we don't all have super sunny homes to work out of. What are some tricks to milking the most light out of a room?
Looks like a great workshop! I would love to see tips/tutorials on dealing with bad light - things to help get a decent SOOC shot and ways to improve it in post processing.
Thanks for this chance. I STINK at posing babies! I took over 200 images at a shoot recently and only 4 were usable. Fortunately 2 were PRICELESS...it made the mom happy enough.
I would like some assistance with lighting for indoor sessions, and lighting for outdoor sessions, and how to make family groups shots look natural.
you can reach me at threeunderfour at gmail dot com
I would love to have a workshop on how to photograph family, mainly families with small children. Since I fall into that realm myself I can never get both my girls looking the same way or things of that nature. I love taking photographs outside at parks so I would love to know more about angles, lighting, positioning and what makes for a great backdrop.
I absolutely love Morgan Kervin's work and love her tutorials. I would like to see a tutorial on outdoor family photography. Tips for getting the right angles, the right poses, the right lighting and ideas!
I would love to see tutorials on using textures . But then again, any tutorials on using/editing RAW images in PSE6 would be great too. I'm new to both of these. Thanks for offering such a fantastic giveaway; you ladies are awesome!
I would love to see a tutorial on headswapping. When I take photos of more than one child, I often get great expressions from both, but not in the same frame! Rita, thank-you for all the amazing tutorials you already have here for us! Thank-you Morgan for offering a spot in your workshop; it would be an amazing opportunity!
Wow! Thanks so much for the chance to win. I would love to see a future tutorial on lighting for newborns. My fingers are crossed that I am the lucky one!! :)

The workshop is exactly what I need to gain some confidence working with newborn babies since they make you WORK =)
I too would love a basic work flow class to include what you do when the photos are done and how you can get clients to make a purchse/printing/delivery
Wow! This looks sooooo helpful! I'm a newbie but am so eager to learn the ropes from talented photographers like yourself! Something helpful for me that I haven't figured out in photoshop yet is how to edit out imperfections (even though I don't see them like that!) such as beauty marks, etc. My email is orf_becky@yahoo.com
Oh yea!! I'd love to see a free tutorial about how to get a photography business off the ground, just the basic info, (where to print, on line galleries for client viewing, etc.). I'm keeping my fingers crossed!!!!
So nice of you to offer this and to give one away! I would like to see a workshop on photographing toddlers - individually and many at once. It seems I have a hard time keeping up with them and never get the right shot!
I am so excited you are offering this tutorial. I'd love a tutorial on quality and print sizing. In other words how do you tell you have an image that will look great in 11X14 or larger. What do you make sure you do in editing so that you avoid problems when you go to get your prints.
Wow! What a great give-away. Thanks! I'd love a lighting tutorial. I've been thinking about purchasing a lighting kit to create my own studio lighting, but am wondering if I can get away with using some desk lamps and other lights I have laying around the house to save some money. Either way, I need to know about positioning them, etc. Thanks!! cedishman@gmail.com
This sounds like an amazing workshop opportunity. If things weren't so tight around here, I'd just pay and be sure I get to see it! Here's hoping... :)

I'm in need of a tutorial on focusing on children who wiggle a lot, and what you can do to correct a slightly OOF picture. My name is Julie and my email is babybirdee@gmail.com Thanks!
I am here from a link at Coffee Shop and I hope I'm in the right place to enter for a chance to win this workshop. I would like to see a workshop for PSE. When we use the layer masks and some says to duplicate the layer, do we need to merge the 'photo' layer with the 'mask' layer? I guess the work shop would be how to work with the layers, how the flow of our work should go, etc.
Oh, this looks so wonderful and it's a class I definitely want to take! I'd also love tutorials/classes on lighting and making skin tones look natural. I have a problem with skin looking dull and overexposed...
This is a great giveaway! I did my second newborn today it was NOT easy. I still didn't get the shots I really wanted. I would love to win this class. The tutorial or workshop I'd like to see the most, is finding the color or saturating the pictures with deep rich colors.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Sue

I would love to win!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!

ReplyDeleteWow! What an awesome prize! I think the only workshop that could top that would be how capture great shots of a toddler that will never sit still or even look at the camera unless he/she is trying to get their hands/mouth on it.

For an ROCKIN tutorial I think something along the lines of posing with large groups & Holiday Actions for PSE! I am SO in love with the actions from Coffeeshop & I also enjoy all the tutorials that gets explained with it as well. This makes your editing look so much more natural & gives the viewers images that stand out from the crowd. (: Thanks to EVERYONE who makes the Coffeeshop Website happen as well as Morgan Kervin Photography!!! I am a crushoholic over your images!

This class would be so much fun since I've been working with a lot of newborns in the last few weeks. I feel like I am really missing out on some pertinent information on posing them and would love to get my creative juices flowing and also, so it doesn't seem like I am doing the same poses from one newborn to another! I would love to win this class.
ReplyDeleteThe tutorial or workshop I'd like to see the most, is finding the color or saturating the pictures with deep rich colors. I've been trying to find out how to do that (My way just doesn't quite seem to be IT) and with the tuts I have looked at, I follow the directions, but there must be something I am missing.
I need a tut with step by step examples. :o) I need to see as well as hear.
