Prayers for Fort Hood
Sometimes you find yourself in a situation where you can't "post as normal". My Army brother-in-law (who did two tours in Iraq), little sis, niece and nephew just moved from Fort Hood to north Texas a few months ago. I am horrified about what happened in Fort Hood today, and I just wanted to send my prayers to the brave soldiers, civilians, and their families there. Rita

Yes, lots of prayers for those families.
ReplyDeleteIf you (or anyone else) is interested I posted on my blog a newsletter I was emailed from Soldier's Angels about how we can help the families and children of the fallen. It has what and where to send things. They need all the love and support we can give this holiday season.
I'm with you on the sending of prayers. It's such a horrible situation. I'm very happy that your brother-in-law and family were not there for the occurance.
ReplyDeleteI too pray for those affected by the recent events at Ft.Hood. I also have a BIL who is stationed there but luckily he is ok. However he has friends who were not as lucky. Being a military wife myself I know how hard things like this can be.
ReplyDeleteYes, They definitely need our prayers at this time. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI have a friend from highschool whose husband is stationed at Fort Hood. She had just been there for a class right before the shootings and her husband was still on base when it happened. I actually heard it all from her before even seeing it on the news! Thankfully her husband got out ok but she is still very shaken!
ReplyDeleteYes my prayers have been going up for the families. This is such a horrible shocking tragedy!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Being that I don't watch the news, I had no idea this happened. I am deeply saddened. I am praying for all of the families.
ReplyDeleteI'm praying for them too...
ReplyDeleteI completely agree. Just awful. Prayers said...
ReplyDeleteMy stepbrother and his family are stationed at Ft. Hood.
ReplyDeleteWe finally got a call around 9 last night to say that they are safe. Praise God!
Rita, thank you for sharing the news and asking for prayers.
We are praying.
Thinking of you and your family, and everyone touched by this. I know how "close to home" this must be for you.
ReplyDeleteWe are thinking of you and your family. :(
ReplyDeleteI agree too.
ReplyDeleteVery sad. These soldiers are heroes to America and the world. Its so tragic and sad.
My brother-in-law has also been at Ft. Hood, but thankfully he is back here in Oklahoma now. What a horrible tragedy! Our prayers are with all the families affected.
