CoffeeShop Little Perk PS/PSE Action!
Sometimes you want a quick and easy pick-me-up for images that appear dull. The CoffeeShop Little Perk is a little action (with a lot going on "behind the scenes") that gives your image an adjustable boost of color, contrast and sharpening. The Little Perk layer adds a boost of color and contrast and the Sharpen layer sharpens :-), you just adjust the opacity of each layer to taste (preset to 50%). Both Little Perk and Sharpen have layer masks so you can use a low opacity soft black brush to "paint" out the effects if necessary.
This is a nifty little action that should work on all of your images. I use this one all of the time in my workflow when I just want a great little boost and don't want to mess with much. And this action works in both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements!

ReplyDeleteThey are a huge help, and a great time-saver.
Thanks so much! I have wanted to try actions but it seems like most of them are for PS not PSE!
ReplyDeleteThis is perfect! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteLove these. Thank you so much for sharing your photoshop knowledge with us.
ReplyDeleteLove color pop and use it all the time, but not having luck in PSE 5.0 with some of these, this one included. "Layer by copy not available" comes up a few times, and basically, by the end, you just end up with what you started with. I wish they did!
ReplyDeleteThank you so much

ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your talent with us - love the Little Perk :)
ReplyDeleteDo you have this so it will work with PhotoshopCC? I keep getting error messages, select not available, etc
ReplyDeleteOr do you have something newer?
Peggy, this does work in Photoshop CC, I just tested it. :-) Try resetting your photoshop preferences, something is probably corrupt. I can't remember the keystroke, but you can google it. That should fix it. :-)
DeleteIs this still available? I've tried to download and every time I click your link it comes up with an error. I had this action on my old computer and used it religiously, lol. Hoping to get it on my new computer. :)
ReplyDeleteOh no Hannah! I just checked on Safari and Firefox and the link works fine. Maybe try a different browser?
