CoffeeShop Glitter Paper and Glitter Pattern!

I wanted to mention that Lightroom 4 is on sale for $99 (full version) and only $79 for the upgrade. I am so excited that Adobe has made LR so affordable. I have so many people ask me if they have Photoshop or PSE, will they still use LR. YES! I edit approximately 95% of my images in LR but I would not do without PSE or Photoshop for my "arty" texture edits and also storyboard design. I honestly love having and using both programs.  I just paid the extra $20 and purchased the full version LR4 today so I can gift my LR3 version to my sister Heather.  She has never used LR and I know she is going to love it.

So why do I love LR? It is the best way in the world to organize all of your images, and editing is a breeze compared to Photoshop. It is hard for me to explain if you have never used LR before, but once you get comfortable using it you won't be able to live without it. This is the program many professional photographers use to edit their images, so you know it is amazing.  Now I am finished praising LR and will continue with the meat of my post.  :-)

Unfortunately I am getting these out too late this year, but I decided to go ahead and put them up.  Gold glitter is always pretty and works year round and the rest of the colors are so pretty.

I used the tutorial linked on Pugly Pixel to create these papers.  She has a great tutorial of her own to make small glitter, but I decided to go all out and use the second tutorial she linked to make bold glitter.  That tutorial doesn't have any photos, but is still easy to follow.

I also included a gray glitter Photoshop pattern you can use to make your own colored glitter paper. Just add it to a layer, double click on that layer and click on Color Overlay, pick your favorite color, and put the blending mode in Multiple or Color.  There are more details on the second tutorial I linked.

I am going to follow this post with a tutorial on making your own custom glitter text.
