CoffeeShop Vintage Frames 14!

I had been emailing back and forth with Lori Peterson about various editing things when she mentioned she had a box full of personal vintage family photos and wondered if I could help her make them into digital frames. As you know, I have a vintage frame addiction, so I jumped on the opportunity and asked her to send them to me ASAP. The frames were gorgeous and the best part is Lori said I could share them with my readers!

I will be posting a tutorial on how I go from a scanned image of a vintage frame to my final layered frames with built-in aging texture in the next few days. But until then, I hope you enjoy the first of a series of vintage frames donated by Lori! If you end up downloading and using the frame please go "Like" her Facebook page and tell her how much you love it.

Like Frames 12 and Frames 13, this frame will instantly age your image without any extra editing on your part.  It has five layers (starting from the bottom):  The frame, clipping mask, B&W conversion, Vintage Color Tint and Vintage Texture.  Simply drag and group your image just above the clipping mask layer.  You can find a tutorial here.  If you don't want an aged image, just turn off all of the layers above your image by clicking on the little eyeball on the left side.  That way you will just have the frame effect.

Once you group and free transform your image to fit the frame (Ctrl-T), then you have an instant aged effect.  If you don't like the torn part on the bottom of the image, you can simply cover it up with black on the clipping mask layer.  But I personally love it!  :-)

Turn off the B&W conversion layer to get a soft color vintage effect.

I hope you enjoy using these frames as much as I do!  Download the free CoffeeShop Vintage Frames 14.  If that link does not work, you can download the frames HERE. It is also included in the CoffeeShop Digital Designs Pack Download.

  1. Thank you, Rita, awesome as always! I asked you this question on FB, so I don't mean to be a pest, but I was looking for the vintage frame you used in your Velvet Truffle action post. Is it up for grabs? It's lovely & it's just what I've been looking for!

  5. Maybe I'm being a complete idiot here... but when I downloaded from both links, there was no ATN file in either. I've never had an issue with your actions before :(
