CoffeeShop Hot Cocoa 2 PS/PSE Action!

I have rewritten and improved the original CoffeeShop Hot Cocoa action. Now the action runs in Photoshop AND Photoshop Elements and the hot cocoa effect is completely adjustable and includes a layer mask so that you can mask out the effect on skin/eyes/etc. I even added a little contrast/brightness "pop" layer to perk it up a bit, but you can adjust the opacity of this layer to taste and even turn it off if you don't want it.

  12. I am a few years late since you uploaded this particular action (Hot Cocoa 2) but I must say bravo! Because this action is simply my Favorite!!!! It's so luscious and soft... I can't find the words. It looks particularly yummy on horse portraits! An example here- Copy and paste: http://cbp323.deviantart.com/art/Calling-Mary-Mac-251812570
I did add a gradient map of medium brown to off-white with blend mode of overlay but that just helped bring out the highlights and add contrast. Thank you for this action. It's what I've been waiting for!

  13. Hello! I absolutely love this action and it is just what I was looking for! I have one question that I am a bit confused about. On some photos running the action leaves the color and only two additional layers (other than the original) and on some photos it changes the image to a sepia and has four additional layers. I don't know what causes it to run one way vs the other? Is there a way to make it run so it keeps the color? I wish I knew more about pse! It is probably something obvious that I am not seeing. Thank you!!

    1. Thank you Sarah! Wow, this is an old action, I should revisit it for sure. Are you starting with a flattened jpg image? That might be the issue.

    2. Sarah, I just played with it and you have to make sure you only have one layer and it is labeled Background. If it says anything else it won't work correctly. So just make sure to flatten the image and then run it and the action should work great!
