My oldest joined the Civil Air Patrol as a cadet and was just promoted to Airman! If you have a 12-18 year old who loves learning leadership and studying aerospace and medical rescue services they should check out this volunteer organization. It is amazing!

And the excitement of seeing a large pileated woodpecker just off our front porch! She made 6 giant holes in that pine tree in just a minute or so until she got scared off. Well, scared off by me because I had to try to get closer to her to take her photo.
