CoffeeShop "Glacier Ice Lights" Photoshop/PSE Action!

Today I have a gorgeous new action called "Glacier Ice Lights". This enhancement adds a cool tint and haze to your image and is completely adjustable. It looks amazing on many winter images, and it can also be run on so many other types of images.

In this post I used two beautiful images from Unsplash (girl, bird).

CoffeeShop "Glacier Ice Lights" Photoshop/PSE Action Tutorial:

I used this gorgeous image of a young lady in my tutorial.

NOTE: I originally called this action "'Wuthering Heights" so the screenshots have the incorrect name and I didn't notice until I finished this post. The layers have been renamed"Glacier Ice" in the action.

Run "Glacier Ice Lights".

I turned on the top layer "Glacier Ice Drama" and changed the blending mode from Soft Light to Overlay (100%). Then I used a soft 30%-40% black brush to remove that layer's effect from the young lady.

I turned on "Glacier Ice Lights" and this is what the image looked like at Screen blending mode, 100%. I then clicked on its white layer mask and went to Edit, Fill and filled the layer mask with black to completely hide the effect.

There are so many ways you can add light to your image using the layer mask on this layer and the white paint brush. You can also simply keep the layer mask white and adjust the opacity to taste if you want a simple cool haze on your image.

For this edit I wanted to add a ring of light around the young lady.

I grabbed a 100% white brush at 50% hardness and clicked on the image so it added a large spotlight on the girl.

Then I pressed "X" to change my brush to black, made the brush smaller using the [ key, and then clicked in the middle of the light area to create a ring of light.

Now you can see a subtle light-ring around her. I love this edit!
