Happy Sunday! It has been gloomy all day and we have a week of rain headed our way. So today I had some time to play on the computer and I wrote a new action called "Soft Gray Satin B&W". This action is completely adjustable and looks really nice on many portraits, landscapes, and even still life images.
The images used in the ad above and tutorial below are from Jill Wellington (Etsy Shop, Facebook, Blog, YouTube Videos, Pixabay).
I ran "Soft Gray Satin B&W" on this beautiful image from Jill Wellington. This is what the edit looks like before I made any changes. The whites are somewhat blown out but it is an easy adjustment.
I turned on the Darken Image layer and set it to 40%, turned on the White Rescue layer and set it to 20%, and then used a soft black brush to paint out the Brighten Whites layer off the bottom half of the image. I think this is a really pretty B&W edit.
I hope you enjoy playing with my newest action! I would love to see your edits over on my Facebook page.
