{Friday Photo Bliss}

On Fridays I like to post snapshots I took during the week that make me happy.

This week I was going to pull out my "real" camera and fill this post with amazing images that would make me feel proud.  I even made brought the boys to the barbershop in anticipation of our photoshoots.  But as it often does, life got in the way and I only have phone snapshots of our week.

This week started out well with beautiful fall days. This is the greenbelt (drainage area) behind our neighborhood where I walk the kids and the dog. After a long dry summer it is finally green. And it is almost winter...

We have been watching the original Star Wars movies with our boys (numbers 4, 5, and 6) and they just saw "The Return of the Jedi" for the first time. They loved it and all of their art has revolved around Star Wars and penguins(?).

We were going to watch Star Wars 1-3, but I remember sitting through the first one at the theater and wanting to strangle Jar Jar Binks.  To think I used to be annoyed by the Ewoks.

I have heard that Star Wars 2 and 3 are better, but I am just not ready to sit through them. I know I am supposed to watch them all before the new Star Wars movie comes out, but I just love the original Star Wars movies so much I can't move on. At least not yet. I personally prefer the look of puppets and models over computer graphics. But then again, I am old and grouchy.

And why waste my time watching any Star Wars movie that doesn't have a young, beautiful Han Solo.

Well, later this week the rains moved in and we ended up stuck inside. Piper gets lazy when it rains.

Isn't my baby cute? I used to take baby-sleeping images, now I am all about puppy-sleeping images.

I wanted to show you the nightly view from my couch.  What is it about males and recliners???

I had to post one more photo, zoomed in. No, he is not dead, and yes, his tongue was sticking out for over an hour.

Have a great weekend!!!

  2. Where did you find your recliner? It looks sturdy. (I'm in Texas)

    1. From Costco. I see it come up every year after Christmas. It was pretty cheap but the seating areas are leather. So far we have had it over a year and it has held up great. It is very comfortable and so incredibly stylish. ;-) Actually, I complain about recliners but I am all about comfort!!!

    2. Thank you, I'll have to check it out. We have dogs that prefer the furniture over the floor!

    3. Piper does too, but he is only allowed on the leather furniture. I can clean that. We shouldn't let him up at all but he is spoiled rotten. ;-)

  3. Time for a little catch up on your Friday Bliss. Thanks for sharing. It is nice to see that a new generation gets to enjoy the old Star Wars movies! Time to go and read this week's....
