CoffeeShop Enduring Love Photoshop/PSE Action!
Today I am posting my newest action, Enduring Love. I love this action! The gorgeous ( and perfect) image I used in this post is from Photography by Kelley. The original SOOC image needed no editing, but I think Enduring Love really adds some nice light and color.
BTW, I have a B&W version of this action called Enduring Love Tinted B&W.
Here is the original SOOC image.
This is with Enduring Love (no adjustments made).
When I wrote this action I wanted to make it really fast and easy, but I also wanted it to be very customizable. For a quick and easy edit, just adjust the opacity of the "Enduring Love" top layer to taste. This top layer has every layer below merged into it.
If you want to customize the edit, then turn off the Enduring Love top layer and turn on all of the bottom layers. Adjust the opacity of each layer to taste, and use the layer masks to remove or add each enhancement.
Here is another before and after on a beautiful image from Laura Sigley Photography. I made no adjustments, just ran the action. What I love about this action is it can be very subtle and it is completely customizable. I do think this action works best on outdoor portraits with good lightning.
I hope you love this action and edit as much as I do. Download the free CoffeeShop Enduring Love Photoshop/PSE action.

Ooh! I think I'm going to love this one! Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThis looks absolutely gorgeous. I can't wait to try it out. Thank you so much for all the freebies.
ReplyDeleteRosalind took the words right out of my mouth. Absolutely gorgeous. ♥
ReplyDeleteVery excited to give this one a go! Just had a magical shoot with a young couple at sunset, so plenty of images to try this on!
ReplyDeleteIt says Error page not found when I try to download it :( I was so excited for it too!
ReplyDeleteTry downloading it again, I just checked and it worked flawlessly. :-)
ReplyDeleteA lot of the layers when the photo processes through the action, say that they are unavailable. Is there anyway I could fix this?
ReplyDeleteMichelle, which version of Photoshop are you using? And are you starting with an image that is flattened and says "Background"?
ReplyDeleteRita, i have CS3, and yes they are flattened and are from the background layer.
ReplyDeleteMichelle, Reset your photoshop preferences. Something got changed/corrupted but that is an easy fix.
DeleteI have PSE 7 and am starting with a flattened image and am also having the same issue with many layers saying unavailable.... any suggestions?
ReplyDeleteI am also using CS3 and having the same problems as Michelle. Same with the Enduring Love B&W action, too. Would love to figure out what the problem is, as I feel they will become my favorite actions to use. As of now, the "finished" product looks pretty bad and takes tons of tweaking to be usable. Appreciate all you do and hope to see a fix on this one soon.
ReplyDeleteReset your photoshop preferences. Something got changed/corrupted but that is an easy fix. 😊. Rita
ReplyDeleteI have reset prefs, updated to 2021 and tried it there, returned to 2020 which is more stable, downloaded Enduring Love separately and installed that and same problem. I purchased the $45 mega pack which inc all the freebies like Enduring Love. All layers are turned on but you can't see them or their effects at all. Tried changing blend modes and then noticed when I selected 'merge visible'. the adjustment layers still remained. THey are not visible and the resetting of prefs didn't work.
DeleteHi Viki! I just tested the one in my pack and it works! So the way this action is set up is a little confusing. I made all the layers, then merged all of the effects on the top layer with a layer mask and turned off everything below. If you like the effect and don't need to make any changes, then you simply flatten. If you want to adjust the layers, turn off the top layer (you have to do this since it is covering up everything else!) and turn on all of the bottom layers and adjust to taste and then save. I usually love this action without any adjustments, thus the top layer. But I also wanted to let people have the ability to tweak it for each photo. Hope this makes sense!
DeleteCan I just say that you are amazing to offer so many treats to us. I have been following you for a long time and will follow you for many years to come. Thanks again!
