CoffeeShop Vintage Paper Tags!
We just had a cool front come in and it is overcast and in the 60's. I somehow convinced my husband to go out antiquing today. Our newish house was built in the early 80's but it was built to look from an earlier time and vintage furniture goes great with the dark wood trim. I don't buy real antiques, just older wooden furniture. But I can get something from the 20's-60ish's that is cheaper, better built, and more beautiful then new wooden furniture today.
This newish house doesn't have any closets on the first floor, just a laundry room. So we need some storage solutions and I am looking for a wardrobe for our coats (hopefully with a pathway to Narnia) and something solid to hold our wine/liquor collection. My husband makes a mean fresh lime margarita and I always keep a small collection of my favorite Texas wines. My favorite vintage right now is Becker Vineyards Prairie Rotie (which I can sometimes pick up on sale at HEB for under $12). That is for special occasions, I usually have a box of wine on hand for my evening kids-are-finally-in-bed glass.
I made some digital vintage paper tags I wanted to share with you. These are high-resolution pngs and can be used in any editing program. Just add text and you are good to go! You can also group a different texture/paper over them and then mask the circle opening.

ReplyDeleteI decorate my 70's house the exact same way. When my kids' friends come over an say things like, "I feel like I am in the 1700's," I feel very successful. And I don't have a single real antique piece of furniture.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tags.
