First I want to give away one of our CoffeeShop Watermarking Action kits!
This kit works ...in all versions of Photoshop CS, and Photoshop Elements 5 to 8. To read more about it, just click on the image above.
So are you interested? All you have to do to enter this giveaway is blog about the CoffeeShop Blog this weekend! Simply post this weekend (no later than Dec. 13, Sunday, 9PM central time) about CoffeeShop's free stuff or upload some of your cool edited images or storyboards using CoffeeShop actions or templates. Make sure there is an actual link to this blog somewhere in your post. As Christmas approaches I would love to find more readers looking for free stuff!!!
Once you post, please come back here and comment with the link to your post and your first name. Please, only comments with links please. :-) Sunday evening I will pick one comment using Random.org and select a winner and post their name here, plus post a great new freebie!
I can't wait to see what you guys post! And thanks. :-)
Second, I always learn so much from my readers, so thank you so much for your comments and suggestions! Case-in-point, I received a very nice Flickr mail from Cord with a gorgeous image she had treated with my Butterscotch Vintage action. The image was stunning (not because of the action, it was a great photo) and she also mentioned something that gave me one of those "duh" moments.
Cord put all of the Butterscotch Vintage layers into a group so she could easily adjust the opacity of the butterscotch vintage enhancement to make the effect more subtle. Simple right?
When I first started this blog I knew nothing about grouping or Photoshop Elements. Later I convinced myself you could not do it in Photoshop Elements so I didn't write it in my actions. And honestly, it would not be desirable in many of my actions, but there are some like Butterscotch Vintage that really benefit with this little addition.
If you don't know about grouping, it is a nifty little trick. When you put layers in a group you can adjust the entire group at once with one opacity adjustment, or open the group and fine-tune each layer and then adjust the entire group at once.
So, I have modified the CoffeeShop Butterscotch Vintage action download. Now after running. the action groups all of the butterscotch vintage layers so you can simply adjust the effect of the entire action at once, or open the group and fine-tune each layer (oops, you can't do this in PSE). The old action works fine, but now it is easy to get a more subtle effect quickly. The download links will bring up the new and improved action. :-)
If you have any questions, please post them them in my CoffeeShop Flickr Group! And for complete info on installing all of my actions, click here!

Would so love to win this, thanks for the opportunity. I don't have a blog so have put a layout on my flickr page. I used your rounded corner story board which was brilliant to illustrate the antics of my cat. I've never used actions but hope to get to grips with them one of these days. Kate
