Little Imp turned two this week! And he still chases after his chickens with that huge stick. Speak softy but carry a big stick if you want bbq chicken. ;-)
I have a few Storyboard actions hanging around on my hard drive that I want to share with you. This is the first of four in this series. CoffeeShop Storyboard 2V (2 vertical photos) builds a 16x20, 300 dpi storyboard (it can be easily cropped down to 11x14, 8x10, 5x7, etc. to fit standard frames), crops and loads your images, adds optional borders, and even types in text that you can edit on the fly or after the action finishes. This action does not flatten your final image so you can easily change the storyboard background or add a texture or image as your background or even move the images around.
A few notes. This action has been tested in Photoshop CS4 and Photoshop Elements 6, but it should work in earlier and later versions. If you are using Photoshop Elements, you must have a random image open before starting this action. The image will close and your template will be built. If you have Photoshop, just open up the action and delete the first line in the action (Close) or you will have to do the same as the Photoshop Elements users. You can also just remove the check mark by Close.
This action will prompt you to add a border. Just press OK if you don't want a border and if you have a white background. A 1 px white border will be applied, but it won't show. If you have a colored background you should match the border to the color so you won't see a tiny white border. If you want a border enter your px size and pick your color.
When the text lines pop up, you can edit the text on the fly or change it later. After you make all of your changes be sure to flatten before saving. This template can then be cropped to most of the standard frame sizes (16x20, 11x14, 8x10, 5x7). And don't forget, if you can't see your crop lines, press Ctrl-0 (zero) and your image will shrink and you will be able to easily crop it.
I also have a few really nice actions that are in the final stages of development, so please keep on visiting the CoffeeShop!
