Here it is, the free CoffeeShop Vignette action! This action applies a "burned" edge to your image. It is very simple, fast, and completely adjustable. It works in Photoshop 7 and all versions of CS AND Photoshop Elements 6.0. If you want to do it by hand, please see my CoffeeShop Vignette tutorial .

ReplyDeleteWhat about those of us who have PE 5 will this work also.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much everyone!!! I am so glad you are enjoying this action. I will have the rounded corner one out hopefully this weekend, along with the vignette tutorial.
ReplyDeleteI think this has some issues in PSE5, but I will try to figure out if I can rewrite it to work in that program.
Thank you! I love actions!
ReplyDeleteThanks can't wait to try it!
ReplyDeleteThank you very much!
ReplyDeleteI've downloaded this and installed it according to the directions (I have PSE 4.0), but it still isn't showing up in my effect window, and none of my other effects, framers, etc. are either! Do you know what i might have done wrong, or what I need to do? Thanks for your time in advance!
ReplyDeleteRita, Thank you again!!! I am having so much fun with your actions, and love that I can tweek them if I like.
ReplyDeleteOn another note...there were well over 750 downloads...hmmm, thank you's 20 something?

Thank you so much, Rita! I've downloaded several of these to play with. This is very generous of you and very much appreciated. I visited the flicker group also and enjoyed browsing. Can't wait to see what you are up to next!
ReplyDeleteI love your actions, they are great.. Thankyou for all your time. I have a question for the vignette, when i run the action and change the opacity highter i can see a darker box in the photo? I wonder if i am doing something wrong? Thanks

I am new to photography, just got my Nikon for my birthday. I hope I can figure it out. I really enjoy reading all the blogs.
ReplyDeleteAm new to all this hope to learn lots.
ReplyDeleteHi Rita, thank you so much for your wonderful generosity. It's people like you who make the Internet great. :)
ReplyDeleteI use some of your other actions like Barista and Powder Room too, but even though they can also be used to do a vignette, I love the one-click simplicity of this one.
One small question though - if I'm using this Vignette action with those more complex actions, does it matter which layer is selected when I run the Vignette? For example, in Barista, starting from the bottom there are Background, Sharpen and Contrast layers, then the adjustment layers like Levels and so on. Should I just select Background before making the Vignette?
You're so generous! Thank you so much for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteHelp! I can't get the actions to download correctly! :o(

The download link seems to be working, so please try again! And this action should be run on a flattened image. So I do my other actions, flatten, and then do this as a final step.
