CoffeeShop Fun Easter BackDrops!

Editing does not always have to be serious, there are times you want fun and games and fantasy!  So today I am posting these a bit crazy but adorable Easter/Spring digital backdrops.  They are layered psd files where you add a portrait that you have cut-out of a photo between the layers.  No worrying about using layer masks or the eraser on the template, you simply slide your portrait between two layers.

You have to admit, these scream "Grandma and Grandpa" and "New Aunt", right?  I think these would be adorable printed on Easter cards.

A special thanks to Amy Mize for allowing me to use her beautiful image in this tutorial.  And I used free stock images from Pixabay for the backdrops.

I have two new actions, a preset, and some digital paper coming out in the next few days.  I am on fire!  :-)

Each template has four layers.  Separate your portrait from its original background using any technique you like (I used the lasso tool), and drag it on the Image layer.  Then adjust the Levels adjustment layer grouped to the Image layer so that your portrait's contrast matches the template.

  1. How adorable..Thank you so much. Glad to hear you got your computer fixed. Looking forward to seeing the photo the boys take with their new cameras. I won my first camera selling seeds when I was in grade school and have loved taking photos ever since. Happy Friday. :)
