Flooding isn't a concern in my area (Vancouver, Canada) but I've been watching the news in horror at some of the issues. For the puppy, can I suggest getting a water bottle sprayer? When you see a behaviour you don't like use a verbal command and if he doesn't listen spray him in the face with the water. Doesn't hurt the pup but they hate it. (At least most do! LOL) Of course, that only works when you have it handy. The biggest thing is the same as you would say about children... consistency and patience. Good luck and feel better!Ponytailshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04688302404776432383noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3204235978624182047.post-75882896188314391812015-06-18T16:03:35.722-05:002015-06-18T16:03:35.722-05:00Glad to hear you survived the storm and that slowl...Glad to hear you survived the storm and that slowly but surely you are all recovering.

Lisa D.Decosse's Dynamite Doodleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12100692025215744977noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3204235978624182047.post-11024651495021868022015-06-18T15:55:00.725-05:002015-06-18T15:55:00.725-05:00Jennifer, that is horrible, I hope your foot heals...Jennifer, that is horrible, I hope your foot heals quickly! Thanks for the tips, I will try them out. He is a biting fool when he gets activated. Otherwise he is a sweet little lamb, I am ready for him to grow up however. :-)Ritahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05859207161677168946noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3204235978624182047.post-19210434759590748292015-06-18T15:53:19.838-05:002015-06-18T15:53:19.838-05:00Stephanie, one of my sisters lives in Austin and l...Stephanie, one of my sisters lives in Austin and luckily they have been fine. A chef knife fell on my foot and severed the tendon to the big toe. So I have lots of time on my hands. Enjoying reading blogs, and having time to comment. I have 4 boys that otherwise keep me busy. So anyways, your puppy is adorable. What we always did for teething puppies was a wet wash that had been frozen. It seemed to help a lot. Have lots and lots of toys available for him to chew on too. The other advice I have for a healthy puppy is to check into titer testing. It's a blood test to see their levels of antibodies. We talked to a breeder who uses this practice. You only immunize the animal when the antibodies level calls for it. I'm no expert on it but it makes sense to me and is worth a Google search.Jenniferhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13623840816565640758noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3204235978624182047.post-14745568144332987552015-06-18T12:29:31.727-05:002015-06-18T12:29:31.727-05:00Lucky you with Bill. We got so much rain from the fronts before that hadn't all soaked up yet that Bill just made it worse... And Austin got it even worse, they said... My sister came here (she lives E of Austin in Manor) for a few days to find dry ground!Stephaniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10541912655370815013noreply@blogger.com
