CoffeeShop "Sapphire Lights" Lightroom Preset Set!

I have been really lazy the last months and my poor "real camera" has been gathering dust. It is so easy to pull out my phone and take a snapshot, but when I go old school and use a camera I realize the incredible quality difference.

My husband Paul is passionate about flying and I feel the same rush taking photos.

The boys and I went to the park last week and and I decided to do a little photoshoot by the creek. The boys were cool with it (sometimes they see my camera and run) and I was able to capture some really nice images.

When I got home I wanted to edit them in Lightroom and ended up creating a brand new Lightroom preset set. I absolutely love this enhancement and wanted to share the presets with you today.

I have a Photoshop/PSE action coming out with a similar edit, so keep an eye on my blog.

This preset set for Lightroom 4, 5, CC includes 4 artistic presets (one without light effects) and a simple Reset preset.

I am a poet and didn't know it. ;-)

Tomorrow I am going to walk you through how I adjust the  Lightroom "Gradient Filter" to adjust the light effect from the preset. If you are new to adding light using Gradients this tutorial will be a great introduction!

One of my many goals of 2017 is to start writing more Lightroom presets and tutorials so let me know if you want anything specific.

I posted some SOOC (straight-out-of-camera, no adjustments) and after images using my "Sapphire Lights" presets below. The only adjustment I usually make after running the preset is adjusting the "Dehaze" setting on the gradient light effect. It is set to be pretty soft and sometimes I want more contrast.

  4. Thank you so much. I'm a Lightroom (experienced?)beginner. I'm having trouble finding the installation tutorial for Lightroom. All I see is for PS and PSE. What am I missing?
