{Friday Photo Bliss}

On Fridays I like to post snapshots I took over the week that make me happy.

We finally had some sun this week and we all tried to get some natural Vitamin D.  I decided to keep my top on so I wouldn't scare the neighbors.  ;-)

The dog ate Imp's homework. Literally.

We just started a new family tradition, Coffeehouse Game Night.

The other day Paul and I were on a date and we were sitting outside a pretty cafe enjoying the nice evening. There was a young boy (around 10) and his mother and grandfather at our neighboring table playing an enthusiastic game of Uno. I am so used to seeing families ignoring each other while out to eat, playing on their phones and tablets, so I was really inspired by this amazing family.  So we decided to have a weekly game night at our local coffee place.

We ordered decaf coffee and herbal tea and played dominoes and I lost. Badly. See that smug look on Duke's face? Annoying, right?

Winter is coming and I stocked up on our favorite herbal teas. The boys love them too and we try to have a somewhat formal tea most afternoons at the dining room table. Another little family tradition along with big family breakfasts and winter candlelight suppers (thank you Mrs. Bucket!) Our favorite teas: South African Honeybush, Herbal Chamomile and Fruit, So African Green Rooibos.

We visited the dog park with Piper yesterday and he made new friends. Lots of new friends.

And this is why we visit the dog park. I have a problem, I can't stop taking sleeping puppy photos... He is a dog after my husband's heart; he feel asleep while reading the Sporty's pilot catalogue. I guess he loves flying too.

Have a great weekend!

  1. To sweet. Glad you guys are enjoying a new tradition. It is nice to see families spend actual time together doing 'family type' things.

    Have a great weekend!

  2. Love the idea of family game night. It really bothers me to see people who are "together" all on their different devices. That puppy is so darn cute.

  3. I agree, it makes me sad to see families ignore each other over dinner. :-(
