Coffee With Morgan: On-line Newborn Workshop Giveaway!!! --Closed!--

Giveaway is closed and I will annouce the winner on Saturday!

I am really excited to announce that Morgan now has an on-line newborn photography workshop and wants one of my readers to have a seat in it for free! I personally went through and checked her workshop out (thanks Morgan!) and it is incredible. Morgan has step-by-step videos and tips on getting all of those amazing posed newborn shots and also shows you how to edit them (and gives you her Baby Bliss action for free) AND is available for questions for up to two weeks after you take the workshop.

And did I mention that you can do the workshop on your own time?  If you are like me and spend those late nights tapping away on the computer this is a big deal.  :-)

I had always wondered how photographers captured those amazing newborn sleeping shots, and Morgan makes it seem easy.  So, on to Morgan!

I love photographing newborns, and it seems that is the top question I am asked by other photographers...."how do you get them to pose like that?"

After much planning I am pleased to announce that I am offering an on-line...YES on-line, at your own time, workshop on posing newborns and all the great behind the scenes details.

Since I ♥ Rita, the CoffeeShop blog and all the readers I have asked Rita to give away a free seat and my Baby Bliss action to one of the lucky readers.
You will have until Thursday, Aug. 26th, 10:00 PM central  to leave a comment (with your email address please!) about a future tutorial you would love to see here on the CoffeeShop to win yourself a seat in the workshop. The winner will be chosen at random and announced on Friday.

I bet you're wondering what all this entails, just keep on reading :)

The way this on-line workshop works:

Once you secure your seat, I will send you a direct link to the workshop page, and a password. You may access the workshop at ANY TIME. I know it is tough to find free time, and most of us are moms and aren't able to have a set scheduled time to view an on-line workshop (not quietly and be able to retain anything), so if you need to view it at 3am....go ahead!

Recently my assistant Jacky and I had nearly 2 hours of shooting with a beautiful baby girl for the upcoming on-line newborn workshop.

Want to know what all comes with the purchase of this workshop?

1. Video of Jacky and myself posing Baby "S"
2. Slide show of SOOC (straight out of camera) and final edit
3. Slide show of set-ups and resulting images
4. Tips to get ready for a newborn session, what you need to do and what the parents should do
5. Lighting advice for newborns
6. About posing newborns
7. Editing and in-camera help
8. Composite and cloning to get the shot
9. Tips to always keep in mind for newborn sessions
10. My Baby Bliss action for editing newborns (exclusive to those that purchase the workshop)
11. A RAW file from the newborn session for you to use the Baby Bliss action on

If you are interested in purchasing access to the on-line newborn workshop it will work like this.

1. Submit your payment for the workshop
2. I will send you the link and password to the workshop (you may access it at any time)
3. You may ask questions pertaining to the workshop for up to 2 weeks

How much does the workshop cost?

$50

If you purchase the workshop and end up winning this giveaway, you will get a refund!

Please only comment once and make sure to leave your email address in the comment!

Meet Morgan! I am from a small town in southern Texas, but now live in central Texas, Fort Hood/Killeen area to be more specific. I am a stay-at-home mom and do photography in my spare time. I am married to a wonderful man that I was lucky enough to meet and be able to spend my life with. We have two beautiful children, Payton 4 years old & Amelia 1 year old. The thing I love the most about photography is that you can take an intangible moment in time and make it last forever. I don't have any formal training, I just learn from experimentation and research.

  5. Maybe I should wait to comment on this since the random picker will for sure not pick #1 comment but I would love to get more info on photographing newborns. I think it is such a sweet and special time to photograph. I would also like to see a tutorial on photographing big groups like for family reunions and how to get the faces to really stand out in a group of 20 or more. cassi@byu.edu

  6. Oh that sounds like a perfect workshop. For the future I'd love to see advice on editing group shots - when there are four or more people in the photo noone is really big enough to spend hours making their eyes pop and skin perfect.

  7. As an extremely new, but VERY enthusiastic "photographer" of mostly my children, I would love some tutorials on achieving natural posed images of children and the processing of them to look amazing. Thanks!

  8. What a wonderful giveaway. A couple of my boys have quite olive skin tones and I find photographing and editing them sometimes difficult as opposed to the two fairer skined boys, so I guess what I would like to see is a tutorial on editing this type of skin tone, giving them a brightness without lightening if that makes sense.
    Cheers,

Awesome! It's funny that you've asked us to name a future tutorial we would love to see on CoffeeShop in order to win this workshop; had you asked me yesterday, I'd have said a newborn photography tutorial! My friends and family members are giving birth left and right these days and the hubby and I are childless so I have to get my baby dose through photos of other people's little ones :) If I have to pick a *different* tutorial other than newborn photography, I choose a tutorial on the top 5-10 post-processing edits most photos could use :)

  195. This class would be so much fun since I've been working with a lot of newborns in the last few weeks. I feel like I am really missing out on some pertinent information on posing them and would love to get my creative juices flowing and also, so it doesn't seem like I am doing the same poses from one newborn to another! I would love to win this class.
The tutorial or workshop I'd like to see the most, is finding the color or saturating the pictures with deep rich colors. I've been trying to find out how to do that (My way just doesn't quite seem to be IT) and with the tuts I have looked at, I follow the directions, but there must be something I am missing.
I need a tut with step by step examples. :o) I need to see as well as hear.
