CoffeeShop Vivid Action is here!

Here is the newest free color action in the CoffeeShop family. The CoffeeShop Vivid action is all you need for basic color photo processing, and it is my easiest action so far. This action, which works in both Photoshop and Photoshop Elements, allows you to choose from 4 custom color pop layers (soft, vivid, urban, and bright) and adjust the level of pop of that layer, sharpen your image, and even selectively lighten/darken parts of your image (including adding a custom vignette). It sounds complicated but it is actually really simple and the action does most of the work for you.

I have two versions for download. The first version, CoffeeShop Vivid, runs on a duplicate of your original image and includes notes within the action. The second version, CoffeeShop Vivid No Wait, runs the action on your original file and there are no notes within the action to save time in running it. Both actions include full .pdf instructions within the zipped file.

Click on the image below to download the free action!

There are two versions. The Vivid No Wait does not include instructions in the action so it runs faster.

You will be downloading a zipped file that contains the action file (.atn), an icon for Elements 6.0 (.png), an icon for Elements 3, 4, and 5 (.psd), instructions for the action (.pdf), and the above photo of the action in "action" (.jpg).

Do you want to download thousands of professional CoffeeShop PSE/Photoshop actions (including exclusive ones not found anywhere for free), textures/overlays, scrapbooking papers, clip art/design elements, photo storyboards and frames, and Lightroom presets from this site in one convenient zipped file AND help support this one-woman blog?

  2. Not having much luck with PSE 5 - Lots of "Layer by copy not available", and then any subsequent commands on those layers doesn't work. Eventually get 2 of the color pops - Vivid nad Bright, but don't give the right effect - help !

  3. I was afraid that it might not work in earlier versions of Elements. Unfortunately I don't know how to rewrite it for it to work. Unless I can get someone with PS and Elements 5 to work on it I don't think I can fix it...

  4. I have heard that Vivid will work in PSE5 if you make a duplicate of your background before starting the action. If this is true, then use the Vivid No Wait action which works on your original. Please let me know if this works!

  5. Rita,

The vivid actions do not work in PSE 5, even when I duplicated my background layer. I tried every combination of duplication/renaming, etc. But that's okay! Thank you so much for the boatload of beautiful actions that DO work in PSE 5.

I don't know if this is appropriate or not, but I am working on thumbnails for PSE 5. I would be glad to make them available.
